Grandstand, Naas

Retail and Apartments Conservation Project

Forming part of a larger, long-vacant site in the centre of Naas town, this project has provided two new apartments and commercial space to the main street.

The existing building was in extremely poor condition following many years of neglect, and required extensive rebuilding to restore it to its former glory. Specialist craftspeople were employed to rebuild eternal wall and chimney elements by hand and to restore existing historic windows and internal joinery.

An unsympathetic stone clad shopfront was replaced with a new handmade timber shopfront which complements the historic streetscape.
