Renovation and extensions of an arts and crafts type house with clerestory windows and dormer
Our clients, owners of a beautiful Arts and Crafts cottage, wanted to maximise the space within their home to accommodate the needs of their growing family. Extending into the attic provided greatly improved bedroom space, a new bathroom and a work space, all within the existing footprint of the house, while two extensions at ground floor contain another bedroom and a living/dining space opening off the existing kitchen.
Externally, the copper-clad new roof elements complement the warm red hues of the brick and roof tiles, and form a sympathetic yet modern addition to this historic building.
