Our clients wished to downsize from their large semi-detached home and recognised the development potential of their very large side garden. We worked with them to carefully design a new 2 bedroom house which is fully suited to their needs.
The house is set lower than the houses around, with complementary brick finish and flat roof to fit sympathetically into the surrounds. Connected open-plan living spaces at ground floor level are bright and airy. Bedroom spaces at first floor level appear to rest on a new brick garden wall which provides a completely private side garden behind.
This house forms an exemplar in compact urban design, and has allowed our clients to continue living in the area they have lived in for over forty years.
